NarmourWright’s holiday season began with the Annual Punkin’ Chunkin’ Contest. If you’re not familiar with Punkin’ Chunkin’, it’s a contest in which NWA employees decorate mini pumpkins for a juried show and then launch them with a 3-person slingshot. This year’s best pumpkin design winner was Amy Songer’s floral inspired pumpkin and Woody Jones’ pumpkin won best distance! Check out our photo’s below;
As the Christmas holiday approached, we continued our yearly tradition of constructing gingerbread houses, voting on the best and then demolishing them with a paint ball gun. The “Star Wars” themed house by Krista Karlson was awarded first place. After awards, houses were destroyed by rapid paint ball fire!
NarmourWright concluded the holiday season by experiencing an escape room. What better way to bond with your colleagues then to be locked in a room together?! The escape room tested our abilities to work together, solve problems and achieve a common goal – escape!
We chose Exit Strategy escape rooms in Charlotte. Our group was split into two groups of five and we selected the rooms “Quest of Honor” and “Lost in Space”. In both escape rooms we were given an hour to test our problem-solving skills and unlock the clues that determined our escape.
Now the question is, did we escape?! Yes! Both teams escaped before the countdown ended. After relishing in our victory, we went to Olde Mecklenburg Brewery to celebrate with a few pints.
