This month, Kelly was also awarded the CREW Charlotte Rising Star Award. The Rising Star Award recognizes a new member who is active on a committee and has already distinguished themselves as a rising CREW leader or made an extraordinary contribution to the chapter.
Kelly joined Crew Charlotte in December 2017 and immediately joined two committees. Kelly has helped the Special Events and Fundraising committee plan multiple events, attained sponsors and acquired numerous donations for the CREW ABC Networking Silent Auction Event. Kelly will be Co-Chair of this committee in 2019.
Kelly has also donated her time to the Community Outreach Committee. Not only was she involved in all the official events this committee plans; she also led a sub-committee for “Other Outreach opportunities” where she created a list of various ongoing volunteer opportunities that was shared amongst CREW members. She organized team building days with Purple Heart Homes, an organization that helps veterans heal at home or age in place by renovating their current homes or building new, and secured several product donations from CREW members for their current project in Denver, NC. Kelly also established a partnership with GoJenGo, a foundation dedicated to providing financial assistance to local individuals battling breast cancer and helped to plan and execute their First Annual Brewery Challenge which CREW staffed with volunteers.
We are thankful for Kelly’s kindness, generosity and commitment to our community.
Congratulations, Kelly!
