Software firm Autodesk has announced a number of newly available solutions and updates to existing products for the AEC industry. Autodesk hosted its annual University event in Las Vegas this week, bringing together thousands of AEC professionals and Autodesk users to hone their skills and learn about new developments in the industry.
Autodesk has announced the closure of its acquisition of Graitec (producer of CAD / CAE software for the civil engineering and construction industries) and the acquisition of technology assets from UK-based Azalient (producer of software for simulation modelling).
Other notices include: the merger of Autodesk Dynamo and Autodesk DesignScript to create a clean and modern UI with the ultimate responsiveness, visual feedback and tight integration with Revit; Autodesk FormIt now includes a web-based application that runs on numerous browsers for Windows and Mac; the launch of Autodesk Structural Bridge Design; and the development of a new BIM 360 mobile app for iPad.
