Narmour Wright “Rocks” CANstruction 2015 Event

Narmour Wright competed in CANstruction this weekend to benefit Second Harvest Food Bank to help “Knock Out” Hunger in our area with a nostalgic Rock’em Sock’em Robots themed sculpture. We had so much fun working on this project and it’s such a great cause. Every can will be donated to Second Harvest to provide food for a hungry family in addition to monetary donations received. We’re proud to announce that NWA raised over $1350 this year, which we used to purchase almost 750 cans for our design and were able to donate an additional $500 to Second Harvest!

We hope that you will vote for our “SOCK IT to Hunger” design for 2015 People’s Choice. There are all sorts of categories; Best Use of Labels, Best Meal and Best Structure, etc. but there’s only one way to win the People’s Choice Award, we need your votes! Voting ends 4/15/15 so don’t delay. We think you’ll agree that ours is the most fun. You can only vote once per device so grab your phones, tablets, laptop, desktop and other devices and start voting today!

Vote now for your favorite design! You can also see the rest of the entries and the people that helped create them.

CANstruction combines the competitive spirit of a design/build competition with a unique way to help feed hungry people. Competing teams, led by architects, showcase their talents by designing sculptures made entirely out of canned foods. At the close of the exhibitions all of the food used in the structures is donated to Second Harvest Food Bank.

Thank you to our Sponsors: McVeigh & Mangum Engineering, Vrettos Pappas Consulting Engineers, Flat Creek Construction, Jud Little with Chevington Associates, Bill Palmer with Kirk Palmer & Thigpen, P.A., Clancy & Theys Construction Company, Hunter Structural, P.A., David Hamilton & Shaw Contract Group for their generous contributions to our structure.
